1.57 lakh children, below the age of five years, will be vaccinated at 858 booths under the first round of Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) on January 28 in northern Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Officials said that under the Round-1 of IPPI Programme in the district, all the children below the age of five years were covered on January 28.

“As many as 1,57,326 children will be immunised across district Baramulla at 858 Vaccination Booths that have been setup across the ten blocks of the district,” they said.

They said 1,716 teams consisting of 3,423 team members including Health workers, ASHA workers, Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) workers and teachers will be deployed across the district.
