On the second day of full-day working time in more than last four months, 11 persons were injured in different road accidents across Kashmir. Markets were massively crowded and traffic jams were reported from most of the peripheral towns, including Srinagar city.

In Ganderbal, police said, an Alto car (JK16-6064) collided with a motorcycle bearing (DL58Z-6603) at Gangerhama, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist identified as Aqib Ahmad Malla and pillion mate Aqib Sidiq Guroo, both resident of Tulmulla. The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Ganderbal police has registered a case in this regard.

In Srinagar, a Motorcycle (JK04B-1702) was hit by a Truck (JK01N-5730) at Nowgam near railway crossing, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist Shahnawaz Ahmad Dar resident of Ranger Chadoora and Waseem Ahmad Wani resident of Zoohama Chadoora. The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, an Auto Rickshaw (JK16-1975) hit and  injured a pedestrian identified as  Jana wife of Ghulam Mohammad War a resident of Khoja Yarbal Habba Kadal at Victor crossing, Khanyar. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Srinagar police has registered cases regarding these accidents.

In south Kashmir Islamabad, a Honda vehicle (PB02Al -0177) hit a cycle at Cheeniwader, Srigufwara resulting in injuries to the cyclist. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard.

In Kargil, a Xylo vehicle (JK07-3108) met with an accident near Chanigund, Shilichey, resulting in injuries to five persons. All the injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment. Kargil police has registered a case in this regard.

In a separate statement, police said a residential house was damaged in a fire incident in Chattabal area here last evening.

Fire broke out in the residential house of Abdul Aziz Dar son of Abdul Gaffar Dar resident of Baghi Sunder Payeen, Chattabal, in Srinagar resulting in partial damage to the house. Fire was brought under control by fire tender with the assistance of Police.
