The detained  JKLF chief Mohammad Yasin Malik while paying tributes to the July 13 martyrs, Sunday stated that though come leaders bartered peoples’ sentiments  in 1947 but the candle was again lit by the masses here in 1988 and the same continues till day

Incarcerated JKLF chairman in message from prison paid rich tributes to the martyrs of July 13 on their martyrdom anniversary.

“The sacrifices of martyrs on 13 July 1931 mark the beginning of our resistance movement and though some leaders robbed this nation’s achievement in 1947,” Malik said, adding, “but in 1988, people of Jammu Kashmir started a peoples’ revolution and continued the mission of martyrs of 31st July.” He said that by Allah almighty’s grace this freedom movement will continue till the achievement of the desired goal and no stone will be left unturned in this way of resilience and resistance.

“India and its puppets in Kashmir are hell bent upon oppressing Kashmiri’s by military might. India has not honoured our peaceful struggle and hence is pushing Kashmiris to the wall,” Malik alleged.

“Youth are specially being targeted and humiliated,” he said. “This ignorance and oppression by rulers could create such a fire that even would consume the rulers also.”

Meanwhile, JKLF spokesperson said that the arrests and detentions shows that “India and its Kashmiri puppets are hell bent upon choking every little space to the peaceful political activities and their sole purpose seems to drive youth of Jammu Kashmir back to the violent path.”
