Barely ten days after his 35th PSA was quashed by a local court in Jammu and Kashmir, authorities late Wednesday evening slapped 36th Public Safety Act (PSA) on incarcerated Hurriyat Conference (G) leader and Muslim League chairman, Masarat Alam Bhat. The court had also ordered his release.

The fresh orders in this regard were passed yesterday evening by the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, reports quoting sources said.

Masarat has been shifted to Kotbalwal jail Jammu during last night.

Strongly condemning the slapping of yet another PSA on Masarat, a Muslim League spokesman said that authorities are taking court orders casually as if the said orders have no sanctity.

Masarat, was arrested in October 2010 after he spearheaded the then mass uprising.
