The earthquake which shook Kashmir Sunday-Monday midnight had its origin in Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan.
Earthquake-report.com stated that the epicentre of the earthquake was on Afghanistan-Tajikistan border.
It added that the magnitude of the earthquake was around 5.9 on Richter scale. It was almost 81 KM deep inside the mountainous region.
There have been mild earthquakes shaking Kashmir region for some time now.
People are deep asleep when the earthquake hit Kashmir.
However, there are no reports of any damages, as of now.
