A three-day Sonth (spring) creative writing workshop on “how to write short story” is being curated at the Vitasta School of Law and Humanities, Nowgam, Bypass, Srinagar from April 02 to 04, 2015.
“The workshop is open to all published and unpublished writers of any age,” the organizers said. “Participants will be chosen on the basis of their writing merits and abilities.”
The workshop is taught by noted writer Shahnaz Bashir, author of critically “acclaimed” novel The Half Mother, who teaches literary journalism and conflict reporting at the Central University of Kashmir.
“The deadline for submitting the writing samples, on which basis the selection shall be made, is March 22nd, 2015 and selected aspirants will be intimated of their selection by or on March 30, 2015,” the organizers said.
