The state has received an additional Haj quota of 1699 seats from the Haj Committee of India raising the total number of Haj seats to 8819 for the Haj-2013.

This was stated by the Minister for Haj and Auqaf Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed on Saturday. “Quota allotted to the state will enable the state government to accommodate more Haj aspirants,” he said.

Peerzada said that this year the state Haj Committee has received 21693 applications from the aspirants. “Out of total 7120 allotted seats, 1991 seats were allotted to reserve category A above the age group of 70, 2512 seats to reserve category B (4th Timer), while as 2617 seats were allotted through Qurrah,” the minister said.

The minister said 14573 applications were put in waiting list.

“With an additional quota of 1699, the applicants from serial number 1 to 1699 under general waiting list have been declared as provisionally selected for Haj pilgrimage,” he said.

 The pilgrims have been advised to download the Pay-in-slips from the official website of Hajj Committee of India www.hajcommittee.com or J&K Hajj Committee website www.jkshc.com.

  1. Sir what happen to us ,our serial number, ( me and my Mrs.) cover no. is JKF-6901-2-0 under waiting list no. 4011-4012,we r still not in the new list whenever the others r in list who r far from us in waiting list,please consider us as we r also in upper age.
