The army Friday carried out flag march in Poonch town where an indefinite curfew was imposed following clashes between two communities on Friday.

“The army has carried out a flag march this afternoon in Poonch town to instil confidence among people,” police sources said.

Authorities Friday morning imposed the curfew in Poonch, following clashes between youths of two communities.

Youths smashed passing vehicles, forced businesses to shut and engaged in clashes.

Police said elders of the two communities are being engaged to restore peace and tranquillity in the town.
