The locals of Chimmer village of Noorabad in Damhal Hinjipora on Wednesday said that they caught a braid chopper in the area who was attempting to chop the braid of women.
They alleged that as soon as the braid chopper was caught hold off, and people started assembling, the contingents of army came in rushing and incessantly fired in the air and took the braid chopper along.
Last reports pouring in from the village said that the locals are protesting against the local police for their inability to intervene and take action.
“It is evident that army is behind the braid chopping in the area and despite that the local police, it seems, is helpless in catching the culprits,” local sources said.
They said that the army rather than taking him along should have handed him over to the local police. “But they rather took him along to the nearby camp.”
