Army patrolling party resorted to aerial firing after facing stone pelting in a village of southern district Shoipan, reports said.

Reports said that as an army party reached Pinjura village number of youth started sloganeering pro-freedom slogans and started pelting stones.

In retaliation forces fired in air and managed to fled from the protesters.

When Kashmir Life contacted SP Shopian to confirm the incident, he denied the reports saying,“I have no information.”

Pertinently Srinagar and Islamabad by-polls are scheduled on April 9 and 12 respectively.
