Forces on Saturday morning resorted to aerial firing in Samboora village of southern Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Reports said that the army tried to enter the village but the resistance showed by the local youth forced them to flee the spot.

“There was stone pelting by the youth following which the army men opened fire in air,” reports quoting sources said.

The situation was “under control” when last reports cane in.

The incident happened two days after a JeM militant and two Indian army soldiers were killed in a gunfight in the same area.
