SRINAGAR: CRPF has not confirmed or denied it. The paramilitary men, in a south Kashmir camp, on Sunday beat their leader for injustice.
Reports appearing in media suggested that one of the CRPF men, posted in a camp near Wanpoh in South Kashmir was unwell. He wanted to go to the hospital and get his problem checked. His company commander denied him the permission. After that the CRPF man died.
This infuriated the dead man’s colleagues. They caught hold of their company commander and allegedly beat him.
How the situation was controlled and what wad the follow up, CRPF is tight-lipped. Police has confirmed the incident but has not offered many details. The dead man was a member of 66 Bn CRPF who was deployed to 90 Bn, reports added.
