Srinagar Parts of Bhadarwah district of Chenab valley on Saturday observed a complete shutdown on the first death anniversary of Hizb commander Burhan Wani.

Reports said that, shops and other business establishments remained closed in the district.However, government offices functioned normally and traffic movement remained unaffected.

The shutdown call was issued by Anjuman-e-Isalamia Bhaderwah to support the protest calendar issued by joint Hurriyat on the death anniversary of the militant commander Burhan wani.

“We observed a shutdown to show our solidarity with the people of Kashmir and to also warn the state government to stop testing our patience,” said President Anjuman-e-Islamia Bhadarwah Pervaiz Ahmed Sheikh.

Reports said that shutdown was also observed in Kishtwar and Banihal on the first death anniversary of Burhan Wani.
