A civilian has been reported killed in South Kashmir Tuesday late evening.
Reports reaching here said that unidentified gunmen fired upon one Javed Ahamd Khan s/o Mohammad Rajab Khan r/o Khandipora, Awantipora in district Pulwama killing him on spot.
As the word of Javed’s killing spread in the area, 55 RR and SOG personnel cordoned off the place and started searches to nab the assailants.
Khan was a teacher at Guru Nanak College of Education Awantipora, locals said.
