Clashes broke out between the forces and youth on Friday after government forces launched a Cordon and search operation in Harigam area of Drabgam village of district Pulwama.
Reports said that scores of the youth assembled and pelted stones on government forces to disrupt the CASO in the area. Forces retaliate with tear gas shells to disperse the protestors.
Heavy contingents of army, SOG and CRPF have been deployed in the area and search operation is going on, sources said.
Police official said that a cordon and search operation was launched in the village following inputs about the presence of militants.
“It was a “normal practice” by the forces that concluded peacefully,” he said.
