Cold wave conditions continued in the Kashmir Valley and the Ladakh region on Sunday as minimum temperatures dropped several notches below the freezing point.

The Met department has forecast cold, dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir till Monday although some rain and snow was expected February 12 onwards.

The minimum temperature was minus 2.9 in Srinagar, while it was minus 4.4 and minus 5.0 in Pahalgam and Gulmarg, respectively. Kargil was the coldest town at minus 15.2 while Leh recorded minus 10.2 degrees Celsius.

Jammu city recorded 9.5, Katra 7.7, Batote 2.5, Banihal minus 0.9, Bhaderwah minus 0.4 and Udhampur 2.9 degrees Celsius.
