Swami Vivekanand Subharti University Friday expelled 10 Kashmiri students for cheering for Pakistan cricket team after allegedly found guilty by the University’s disciplinary committee.

However, suspension of 57 other Kashmiri students was revoked.

Sources said that the examination of the 10 students are going on and once exams get over, they will be sent back home.

Pertinently, 67 Kashmiri students of the University were suspended after they had allegedly cheered for Pakistan cricket team’s victory in a cricket match against India on March 2.

The city police had even slapped sedition charges on students which were later withdrawn following widespread criticism.
