Young son of a right wing lawmaker died on Monday after he was infected with deadly dengue.

Reports said that Saleel Arora, son of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Member J&K Legislative Council, died in a private hospital in Ludhiana, Punjab.

They said that Saleel was infected with Dengue, the killer disease, some days ago and he was admitted in Government Medical College Jammu.

“For last three days,” BJP sources said, “Saleel was in com in the hospital and this morning he died.”

Saleel was in his early twenties and after passing class twelfth, he had joined family business. They live in Karan Nagar area of winter capital.

On Sep 16, 2016 The Tribune reported that five cases of dengue were confirmed in Jammu.

The killer disease had hit Jammu in 2013 as well and cases of dengue were reported from Samba, Vijaypur, Purmandal, Gura-Slathia, Bari Brahmana, Ramgarh, Kathua, Jammu, RS Pura, Satwari, Gajansoo and parts of Rajouri district. In 2014, a few cases were reported due to floods.
