Jama'at-e-Islami J&K pioneering leadership

Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir Sunday condemned the “callous attitude of Indian forces and their excesses” upon peaceful protestors in Kashmir and termed it undemocratic and unjustified.

“Jama’at condemns the excesses of Indian forces upon innocent and unarmed protestors who protest peacefully for right to self-determination,” a statement issued by Jama’at here reads.

“People were peacefully protesting at several districts of valley including Kulgam, Islamabad, Pulwama, Tral, Shopian, Kupwara, Aripanthan and Srinagar areas and were protesting against the atrocious behaviour of government forces who had injured hundreds of civilians today.  Forces are hell bent upon to kill and maim peaceful protestors in one way or other just to appease their mentors in New-Delhi, which is highly deplorable,” the statement further read.

On one hand New-Delhi is sending its delegations time and again to Kashmir for restoration of peace and normalcy but on the other hand killing, maiming and arrests are still on which proves the intention of New Delhi is not sincere to resolve Kashmir dispute as per the wishes and aspirations of people concerned, the statement read.
