The slain Hizb ul Mujahideen militant who was killed in a brief shootout in Seer village of Tral township on Monday was laid to rest in martyrs graveyard Tral.

Reports said that thousands of people raising pro freedom and anti India slogans participated in the last rites Adil Ahmad Chopan.

Emotional scenes were witnessed as the body of Chopan (17) was marched towards the graveyard. Women were seen beating their chest while men raised pro-freedom slogans, reports said.

Chopan was rescued by locals during a gunfight in which Hizb commander Sabzar Bhat and his associate Faizan Bhat were killed in Saimoh, Tral in May this year.
