Forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on Sunday in south Kashmir’s Veeri Village of Bijbehara in Islamabad district.
Reports said that joint parties of Army, Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search operation following a tip-off about the presence of militants at village Veeri village of Bijbhera.
All exit points were sealed by the security forces and search operation was launched, they said, adding that so far, no contact was established with the militants.
The search operation was going on in the area when this report was filed.
