Forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on Saturday in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Reports said that Army’s 27 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search operation this evening following a tip-off about the presence of militants at village Ghat Ashtengoo, Bandipora.
All exit points were sealed by the security forces and search operation was launched, they said, adding that so far, no contact was established with the militants.
The search operation was going on in the area when this report was filed.
