Srinagar

Forces on Thursday launched a cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) to a village in Baramulla district of northern Kashmir.

An official said that a joint team of army and Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police launched the operation following inputs about the presence of militants in Kralhar village – two kilometers from Baramulla town.

He said two militants are believed to be hiding in the area. “So far the contact has not been established with the hiding militants,” he said.

Further details are awaited.
