Minister for Medical Education Minister Taj Mohi-u-Din Monday said that it needs someone from the State with brave and bold approach who could take all the power projects back from the National Hydro Power Corporation (NHPC).

“My role as PHE Minister is visible on records in the documents lying with Cabinet Sub Committee. I reproduced all those documents relating to NHPC which were stolen. In future, anyone with brave heart could take all the power projects back from NHPC,” Taj told a gathering during a seminar conducted by local news gathering agency CNS.

He said that he is neither a politician nor a statesman but a person with a difference and that is why he has suffered heavily from time to time. “It was because of me that NHPC was forced to pay more for the water they utilize in Kashmir. I am sorry. I can’t do anything now as power portfolio is lying with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, he said adding that he has formulated a roadmap to take control on the power projects under the NHPC.
