GANDERBAL: Police today claimed to have solved  a burglary case  by  arresting  two persons  and  recovering huge number of  mobile phones and other accessories from Safapora area  of  this central Kashmir district.

Acting on a complaint filed by one, Imram Ashraf Reshi, that his shop has been broke opened in Safapora area during intervening night of September one/two and burglers have run away with huge number of mobile phones, police picked up a suspect, Shabir Ahmad Dar, a resident of Saderkot Bala for questioning, after filing a case (FIR No 31/2017) under section 379 RPC, a police spokesman said.

He said during questioning, Dar confessed that he along with Hilal Ahmad Mir, a resident of Safapora, had committed the crime.

He said on the disclosure of both arrested persons, 19 mobiles, 58 headphones, 20 mobile chargers and other mobile accessories were recovered from their houses.

Further investigation in the case is going on and more recoveries and arrests are expected, he added.
