Continuing its endeavour to spread awareness about various health related issues, the department of community medicine, government medical college, Srinagar organised a day long AIDS activities.
The programme according to Dr S. Muhammad Salim Khan, HOD Community Medicine and program officer NSS was organised in collaboration with its NSS unit and IAPSM.
The activities according to Dr Khan included the on-spot poster competition, seminar, essay-competition and slogan writing competitions were held.
Dr. Kaiser Ahmad, principal/ dean GMC Srinagar was the chief guest while Dr. Anjum Farhana HOD Microbiology and Dr. Shaheen Shahdad HOD Anatomy were the judges. Elena, Kashaf-ul-Khair and Farkhanda were adjudged for best poster while Rayies Ahmad was declared best speaker. Mehroosh Malik received award for best essay. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Inaam-ul-Haq, Dr. Irfa Naqshbandi and compared by Dr. Ambrine Ashraf.
