Authorities on Monday suspended the high-speed mobile Internet service in Srinagar and south Kashmir area in the wake of killing of three militants in a gunfight with forces in Islamabad district.

An official said that telecom operators have been asked to reduce the speed of mobile Internet “as a precautionary measure”.

Militants Muhammad Eshan alias Easa Fazili of Soura, Syed Owais of Vailoo Kokernag were killed along with a third associate in a gunfight with forces in Hakoora-Badasgam area of Doora area early Monday.
