Intensifying its drive against violators, Traffic Police City Srinagar seized 222 bikes and scooties, besides also detained 76 vehicles in two days for violation of various Motor Vehicle provisions.

The spokesman said during the period, Traffic Police also booked 1142 traffic violators and realised Rs. 1, 62, 046 as fine from them.

Traffic Police has urged the general public to abide by traffic rules and cooperate with the Department in streamlining the traffic movement in Srinagar city.

Meanwhile, Traffic Police City Srinagar also held a day-long traffic awareness programme at Kashmir Institute of Education Parraypora Baghat.

The programme was organized with an aim to create awareness and sensitize youth about the traffic rules, norms and road safety measures.

SSP Traffic City Srinagar Tahir Saleem Khan and chairman KRSF Nasir Ali Khan delivered lectures and interacted with the students.
