In a first of its type, a Srinagar based Tour and Travel Agency is using latest Information Technology (IT) tools to make information available to the visiting tourists about tourist destination across Kashmir.
The agency, Fly Paradise, will be providing all Kashmir related information a tourist needs. “We will be providing all information about any place the tourist wishes to visit,” Umar Khan a Fly Paradise’s chief technology officer (CTO) told media persons.
“We will provide such a service that once a tourist lands in Srinagar, his/ her cell-phone device will be attached with our main device which will guide the tourist to every chosen place,” he added.
Khan said that Fly Paradise will introduce “semantic search” in its tour platform. “The aim is to give relevant information to the tourist when he/she intends to find a place anywhere in the world for that our platform will get every information of a customer.”
He disclosed that Fly Paradise will be implementing “Internet of Things (IoT)” technology to “give its customers exact information about their trips, locations and fare”.
“In case, a customer loses his/her luggage or other belongings, this technology will help them trace it,” Khan said.
The CEO of the company, Danish Farooq, said that his organization will engage freelance writers to promote Kashmir and other places as a tourist destination. “Our platform, wherein we have services of talented IT engineers, will be the one-stop shop for a tourist,” he said at an event held today at Winterfell Cafe at Boulevard on the banks of Dal lake.
He said the freelance writers will be given a resource to visit tourist destinations and write first-hand account so that our platform has rich knowledge bank from Kashmir and about Kashmir.
Junaid Masoodi, a technocrat who has travelled across Europe and Asia, said that the Flyparadise.in will be changing its domain on Google so as to get gelled with the latest IT world.
Presently, Fly Paradise has engaged services of 8-10 professionals who are working on the platform.
