Internet services were suspended in major parts of the North Kashmir Saturday after government forces started search operation in north Kashmir area.

Forces started Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in North Kashmir after specific input about the presence of militants, reports said.

They said that some militants are believed to be trapped in the area.

Meanwhile, SHO Sogam told Kasmir Life over the phone, refutes the reports of CASO in Tekipora Lolab.

“No such operation has been launched in any village of Lolab valley. Internet service is also not barred as is being projected on social media and a section of the press,” he said.

Earlier report said that forces launched the operation in Tikipora area of Lolab after inputs about the presence of a top militant commander Manan Wani.
