To review achievements under Annual Credit Plan 2013-14, J&K Bank convened a District Level Review Committee meeting at Dak Bungalow Baramullah under the Chairmanship of DDC Baramullah Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone, a company statement said.

“Lead District Manager Baramullah informed the house that 37948 beneficiaries were benefited under plan and an amount of Rs.748.37 Crore was disbursed among them under various schemes against the target of 1221.16 Cr,” it read.

He said, the statement read, “The district has recorded an achievement of 60.89% as on 31st March, 2014. Under Priority Sector Advances the district has achieved a YoY growth of 29%.”

“Under Agriculture Sector, Rs 379.47 Cr were disbursed against the target of Rs 473.43 Cr registering YoY growth of 71%, while as Rs 119.91 Cr and Rs 60.56 Cr were disbursed under Small Enterprises and Service Sectors respectively,” he added.

Chairman DLRC advised all the banks and the sponsoring agencies to coordinate work closely so that the goals and targets of development are achieved besides generation of employment for unemployed youth of the district.

Earlier, the House was informed that against a target of 529 villages allotted to Banks for financial inclusion under FIP-II Banks have covered 310 villages covering 69250 households.

Meanwhile, on the eve of Annual Urs of Baba Nizam-ud-din Larwi Sahab (R.A), J&K Bank organized a courtesy camp at Baba Nagri Wangath.

“During two days of Urs the staff of B.U Wangath led by its Head attended the camp and served the devotees with fruit juice / cold drinks,” the statement further said.
