Jammu and Kashmir Bank RSETI director has been felicitated or his meritorious services, a statement said.

“In recognition of his effort in imparting skills and self-employment generation across district Bandipora, J&K Bank RSETI Director M M Fayaz was felicitated with Meritorious Service Award on January 26, 2014,” a bank statement said.

The director was awarded by J&K Minister of Higher Education Muhammad Akbar Lone on 26 January.

Giving an insight into the work of RSETI Bandipora, the statement said, “1347 candidates have been trained so far in different trades like Dress Designing, Cushion and Pillow Making, Mobile Repairing, Emergency Lights manufacturing, Beads Work, Food Preservation, Bee Keeping.”

“Out of the trainees 603 candidates have availed credit linkage from different financial institutions in the District, 145 candidates have also started their units through Self-finance. Besides, training programmes RSETI Bandipora has also conducted 66 awareness camps.”

Pertinently, J&K Bank RSETI Bandipora was graded “A” by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India and RSETI Monitoring Cell Bangalore. Director RSETI Bandipora received the certificate of excellence for the institute at Vigyan Bhawan New Delhi on 21st November 2013.

The statement further said, “the bank’s Financial Literacy and Credit Counseling center Bandipore conducted few awareness camps across the district in Kulhama, Darmahame and Lawepora during the month.” People representing cross-section of the society participated in these camps.

“Facilitator FLCC Bandipora informed the audiences about various deposit and loan products of the bank besides KCC and other government sponsored scheme,” it said.
