Jammu and Kashmir liberation front on Friday said in a statement that ban on peaceful JRL rally (Jalsa) in Islamabad has once again proved that India and its Kashmiri stooges have no guts to compete with resistance camp on a political front.

In a statement, JKLF spokesman said, “Curfew, restrictions, a spree of arrests and other oppressive measures are the example of Kashmir being a police state.”

JKLF spokesman said “ban a peaceful political program whole valley especially Islamabad had been turned into a battleground where forces used every tactic and excessive force to stop JRL public rally.”

Condemning the “undemocratic crackdown on whole resistance camp, arrests, nocturnal raids, curfew and restrictions and use of brutal police force to stop JRL public rally in Islamabad,” spokesman said the way police barred and arrested Mirwaiz Muhammad Umer Farooq, placed heavy barricades and restrictions in and around ailing leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani sahibs residence at Hyderpora and JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik along with others clearly shows that Kashmir is actually governed by gun and not by politics and so-called democracy.”

“That forcing silence of a graveyard by using military might and designating it as peace can only be termed as foolishness. He said a fascist government in power, inspired by Joseph Gobbles’ malicious propaganda techniques are trying to paint the brutal pacification of Kashmir as peace and return of normalcy but today its false propaganda stands exposed before the international community.”

While condemning the police assault on people’s protest at Pampore on Friday in which many people were injured by police cane charge and many youths including Faizan Ahmad and Ubaid Ahmad were arrested by police, said spokesman.
