Chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik on Wednesday has strongly condemned the prolonged incarceration of JKLF Zonal President Noor Muhammad Kalwal, deputy chief organizer Siraj Ud din Mir and district president Bara mullah Abdul Rashid Magloo who are languishing in police station Kothibagh, Police station Kreeri and sub-jail Baramullah.

The spokesman said Noor Muhammad Kalwal was arrested by police on 6th April 2018, at Maisuma, Siraj Ud din Mir was arrested in a nocturnal raid by police at his residence Karhama Tangmarg on April 2, 2018, while as Abdul Rashid Magloo was arrested from his residence on 29th March 2018.

Malik said that Noor Muhammad Kalwal was bailed out by the court yesterday but as he stepped outside central jail Srinagar,

While condemning this police highhandedness against peaceful political activists and leaders and use of ugly police tactics to prolong their incarceration, JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that on one hand rulers and their authorities brag about giving space to peaceful political activities but on the other hand these people are trying every foul tactic to choke every little space on political leaders and activists.

Malik also condemned the use of force on students in Sopore, Islamabad, Pulwama, Bandipora and at many other places in Kashmir in which many students including girl students have sustained injuries.

Meanwhile, JKLF chairman has paid rich tributes to S Hameed on his death anniversary today, terming S Hameed as a selfless person, a courageous warrior and a dedicated leader.
