Sarveshwar Foods Limited on Wednesday launch first Organic Store, ‘Nimbark’ in Jawharnagar Srinagar, Kashmir, after the launch of NIMBARK Organic Stores in Jammu. Sarveshwar foods initiated organic farming in Jammu and Kashmir and after putting in more than nine years. It has now decided to feed the domestic as well as International consumers with healthy Organic food products through its own dedicated retail chain of NIMBARK Stores.

The company launched its first NIMBARK Organic Store in Kashmir Valley in a function which was attended by a galaxy of personalities.

Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, Hon’ble Minister of Finance, Labour and  Employment, Government of Jammu and Kashmir was the chief guest on the occasion. He inaugurated the store which offers a whole range of organic products.

In his address, he appreciated the efforts of Sarveshwar group in bringing safe food at doorsteps of Kashmir people and wished that more initiatives which can boost our rural economy and at the same time provide good health.

The Minister appreciated the efforts of the private firm in making available much needed organic food to the people of the valley.

He said investing in the production of organic food at the time when the rampant use of fertilizers have taken a toll on the health of people, will go a long way in going back to the old tradition of using organic foods and producing the same in the local market.

He hoped and wished that more such initiatives are taken which can boost the rural economy and at the same time provide good health. He said the popularity of organic food will make the farmers opt for organic farming and avoid the use of toxic fertilizers that will be good for health as well as to our economy.

He urged the farmers to grow more and more organic produce which will be not only marketed by the private firms but the government will also encourage such initiatives.

Principal Secretary, Finance Navin Kumar Choudhary also appreciated the efforts of the private firms in promoting organic food in the state and providing farmers an option to grow organic food that can be marketed well by these private firms.

He also appreciated the efforts being made by Sarveshwar Group for the betterment of the state.

Parvez Ahmad, Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Bank was the guest of honour.

Chairman of J&K Bank Parvez Ahmad while speaking on the occasion mentioned the importance of organic foods and appreciated the efforts of private firms including Sarveshwar Group under the leadership of Rohit Gupta to make Organic products available to the people of Kashmir.

On the occasion, Rohit Gupta (Managing Director) Sarveshwar Foods limited thanked the gathering and promised that the company is always looking for the betterment of people of Jammu and Kashmir.

He also thanked the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their overwhelming response to the IPO brought by the company last month which was the very first IPO by any private company from the very state.

He said that in this Organic retail outlet all types of Organic cereals, pulses, spices, dry fruit, superfoods are available. The company has got the plan to go with a chain of stores under franchise model and plans to have about 20 stores nationally by this financial year end.
