Syed Altaf Hussain, Carpet weaver cum dealer who innovated portable carpet loom was felicitated on Monday by Kashmir Carpet Cluster Development Organization in a simple but impressive function.
Besides the representatives of the Kashmir Carpet Cluster Development Organization that included Maharaj Krishan Bhatt and Bilal Ahmad Kawoosa, the function was attended by Joint Director Handicrafts Kashmir Nazir Ahmad Mir, Assistant Director Handicrafts Srinagar Mushtaq Ahmad Shah and Aashiq Ahmad from Carpet Export Promotion Council India.
The speakers on the occasion hailed the efforts of Syed Altaf Hussain’s innovation who has brought out the innovated loom for a cost of only Rs 6,000 (Rupees Six Thousand only).
