Expressing his deep concern and anguish over the non-rehabilitation of flood victims even after completion of one year of the September 2014 devastating flood, Hurriyat (g) chairperson Syed Ali Geelani said that the rulers of Delhi are deliberately subjecting Kashmiris to the vengeance and they want us to beg for everything.

He said that at the time of formation of government in alliance with that Hindu communal and extremist party BJP, the Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s party PDP cited reasons that this alliance will help the state in obtaining sufficient financial assistance from the New Delhi government and that will stabilize the economic condition of Jammu & Kashmir.

In a statement, Syed Ali Geelani said that this claim, however, proved to be a big hoax and instead of extending any type of help, the New Delhi government wants to further tighten its grip over the leftover natural resources of the state. “After having detailed meeting with the leaders and officials of the Kashmir Economic Alliance at his Hyderpora residence on Sunday, Syed Ali Geelani said that worst sufferers of the September 14 flood fury were traders’ community and we fully understand their problems.”

“We also know that how India under a planned manner want to break the back bone of the economics of the Jammu & Kashmir. they actually want to take revenge from us that Kashmiris are openly and publicly opposing the illegal occupation of India and despite facing so much hardships and atrocities at the hands of the occupational forces, they did not surrendered the demand of right to self-determination,” the statement said.

While addressing the traders’ community, the Kashmiri pro-freedom leader said, “we are prepared to bear any type of loss but we will not bow before the Indian imperialism. Our resolve is that until a single Indian solider will vacate the land of Jammu & Kashmir, we will carry forward our struggle in every possible way.”

The respectable traders community informed Syed Ali Geelani about their problems and difficulties and how are they humiliated and harassed by the New Delhi as well as the state government? The officials of the Kashmir Economic Alliance (Showkat Group) who participated in the said meeting include Chairman Showkat Ahmad Chaudhery, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Mohammad Yousuf Chappery, Jan Mohammad Koul, Mohammad Sadiq Ronga, Shaikh Mohammad Yousuf and Dr Mushtaq while as Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Secretary Public Relations Jinab Altaf Ahmad Shah, district president Srinagar and Ganderbal Raja Mehraj-ud-din, personal secretary of Syed Ali Geelani Peer Saifullah and Hurriyat (g) spokesperson Ayaz Akbar were also present on the occasion.
