Director General of Police Dr S P Vaid has complimented Mansha Bashir for ‘bringing glory’ to Jammu and Kashmir by clinching silver medal in the 30thAU TAEKWONDO Championship Princess’s Cup played at Assumpin University of Thailand.
Dr Vaid who greets Mansha for her spectacular performance at the International level and expressed the hope that she will prove as a role model for many other sports person who want to make sports as profession.
According to Vaid, J&K state has no dearth of talent but the need is to identify and polish their talent so that they can show their worth at the different international levels.
He also added that, “Mansha has made the state proud by her talent, and laid the foundation to motivate others who are engaged in the world of sports”.
In another event where a shopian girl, Suzain Zahoor also won silver medal, reports said.

According to the reports, another kashmiri, Anas Ishtiyaq who qualify for the semi-finals in the championship, is also set to clinch the title.
Meanwhile the junior cricket Championship organized by Delhi Public School and J&K state sports council, reaches successfully to District level.
The event which has been going on from the past one month witnessed a huge participation from schools all across the valley. The event had the participation of 320 teams was proudly catered by the organizers.
The championship was organized at 3 different levels including block, district and state level.
A total of 310 cricket matches have been played so for in all the 10 districts of Kashmir. The organizers of this event are all set to take this event to another step forward by conducting inter-district matches for the qualifying teams.
The various teams from all the districts of the valley which are going to play at the inter-district level scheduled from 22nd April, 2017 are from Higher Secondary Schools of , Bijbehara,Noorpoora Pulwama, Zainapora Shopian, Kulgam, Soibugh Budgam, Bandipora, Kupwara
Besides, Madina Public school, Balihinar Mirgund, Baramulla, Sultania public school, Ganderbala and Dr GM’s city school, Nowgam Srinagar are inducted to play.
