Tral township of southern Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday is observing a shutdown to mourn the killing of Hizb militant Adil Rashid Chopan.

All shops and other business establishments are closed while traffic is off the roads.

Internet continues to remain suspended in the area. Mobile Internet service was suspended yesterday after the gunfight began in Seer forests.

Four militants surfaced at the funeral of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant Adil Rashid Chopan and offered a gun salute in full public gaze on Tuesday.

Chopan was killed in a gunfight with government forces in Seer area of Tral yesterday.

Meanwhile, reports said that four militants appeared in the funeral of Adil Chopan and fired several shots in the air.

Chopan, who was killed in a gunfight in Seer village of Tral township, was laid to rest at the martyrs’ graveyard in Lurow where thousands of people attended his funeral prayers.
