Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSME, Development Institute Srinagar in collaboration with J&K State Resource Centre, the University of Kashmir on Wednesday organized a day-long workshop on “Industrial Motivational Campaign” here at Gandhi Bhavan, University of Kashmir.

The spokesman quoted the Registrar of Kashmir University, Professor Khurseed Ahmad Bhat saying “the aim of the workshop is to make the unemployed youth aware of different State and Central schemes, adding the required awareness will help them to be self-employed.”

He said that history has proved that entrepreneurs are not born, but they are made. “Our Youth is no different than rest of the world. Unfortunately, they lack the right exposure and platform to showcase their talents in different fields,” he added.

The Registrar also advised the students, who participated in the workshop that they should focus on their own capabilities and positives to achieve their goals.

Prof S. Mufeed, Director, JK Resource Centre, University of Kashmir said that it is the first time that the department has organized such type of workshop for the students.

“Entrepreneurs can offer employment which will help the economy of the state, he added.

Assistant Director, MSME, Development Institute, Srinagar, Saheel Yaqoob Alaqband said that the aim of the workshop is to give insight of various Government schemes and sensitize the beneficiaries about the available support mechanism
