The Srinagar Jammu highway was disrupted on Wednesday after landslides hit the 300-km highway in Ramban district.

An official from the traffic department said that due to the landslide the traffic movement was disrupted at Anokhi fall near Battery Cheshma, 11 Kms from Ramban, on Wednesday morning.

However the men and machinery have been put into service to clear the highway, he said, adding that it would take several hours to clear the slide.

Pertinent to mention, the Srinagar Jammu highway was blocked for over nine hours due to a landslide on Tuesday also.
