Clouds of uncertainty again gathered over the cross LoC trade on Thursday when authorities recovered some “objectionable” thing from a truck and arrested its driver.

Sources told Kashmir Life that as the trucks with trading commodities were checked on Salamabad near Kaman bridge the men in uniform detected something “objectionable” in a truck before crossing over to other side of the LoC.

“The truck was immediately cordoned and the experts found a thing which is not permissible,” sources said adding “The truck driver was immediately arrested and he is being questioned.”

Sources however, did not disclose the name of the “objectionable” thing. They added that the truck has also been given into the custody of police.

Pertinently, cross LoC trade was in news in near past and the trade was stopped for almost a month when police claimed that they recovered brown sugar worth crores of rupees from one of the trucks of PaK. However, today the authorities claimed to have found some “objectionable” thing from a load carrier of this side.
