Srinagar

A massive fire broke out in the revered Khanqah-e-Moula shrine in Old City in Srinagar late last night.

The fire has partially damaged the roof and the spire of the shrine partially.

The fire, reports said, was caused by short-circuit.

The shrine is built in memory of renowned saint Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (RA).

Reports said the fire was brought under control by the timely action of the locals and the fire tenders.

Meanwhile, local MLA Ali Muhammad Sagar visited the shrine today early morning and took stock of the damages caused by the fire.
