The people of Chadoora on Friday took out a massive rally to the native village of slain operational commander of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen Muhammad Yaseen Yatoo alias Mehmood Ghaznavi.
Reports reaching here said that thousands of people participated in the rally that was taken out from Jamia Masjid Kadeem of Nagam village in Chadoora just after the culmination of mandatory congregational prayers.
The marchers offered Fateha prayers at the graveyard of Ghaznavi who was killed in a gunfight with forces in Awneera village of Shopian on August 14.
Meanwhile, a complete shutdown is being observed in Chadoora town and its adjoining areas for the fifth consecutive day today.
