Muslim Deeni Mahaz (MDM) on Tuesday has expressed a deep sorrow over the death of Abdul Mateen 53, the resident of Nathipora village in Dooru area of Islamabad in south Kashmir who breathed his last at SKIMS Soura.
In a statement, a spokesperson of the amalgam termed the death of advocate Abdul Mateen a huge loss to their resistance moment.
“Mateen was one of the pioneer leaders of MDM, an intellectual and pious Muslim. He worked as a close associate of Dr Muhammad Qasim in 1999 and 2000,” the spokesman said.
He has also contributed to social work and has written research-based papers where he has given the detailed account of how Indian government is going to change the demography of Jammu and Kashmir,” the statement said.
