Hurriyat chairman (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Saturday expressed the serious concern over Sopore massacre in which 57 civilians were killed on January 06, 1993.

“and property including 120 houses and 400 shops burnt down by them and none of the perpetrators held accountable. When will we get justice we ask?(sic),” Mirwaiz tweeted.

In another tweet, Mirwaiz said “As India rightly asks UK to apologise for the brutal #JalianWalaBaghMassacre, we in #Kashmir today are commemorating 25 years of one of the scores of such massacres that we have suffered. The #SoporeMayhem when 57 civilians were brutally killed in cold blood by the Indian forces (sic),” Mirwaiz tweeted.
