Reports said that the party workers took a protest march from NC headquarter Nawabi Subhe Srinagar towards Governor house Raj Bawan Srinagar shouting anti-governmental slogans, adding that the protesters have now gathered outside the CM’s residence.

The workers said that government should wake up from its deep slumber, as the government didn’t worry about the killings in Kashmir. It should not waste further time in initiating a comprehensive and open-ended dialogue so that the Kashmir issue will be sorted out soon.

Meanwhile, workers also protested against the delay in Kathua rape and murder case of eight year old Aifa Bano, who was raped and murdered in January after she went missing from her home on January 10. Asifa’s  body was found on January 17.
