Independent Lawmaker Langate Engineer Rashid Monday lambasted the latest  ‘Recruitment Policy’ of J&K government announced on Sunday saying it will create ‘Brain-Drain’ situation in state.

Pertinently, according to this new recruitment policy passed by PDP-BJP coalition cabinet yesterday in Jammu, all fresh appointments will be made on contractual basis and the appointees regularized after putting in seven years of ‘satisfactory’ service.

“Seven year time period for getting ‘permanent’ is a cruel decision and will lead to disappointment among the youth. What will youth do to survive on a meagre pay for seven years has not been given any thought. This recruitment policy will only lead to hopelessness, frustration and increase in corruption,” a party statement quoting Rashid said.

He castigated government for “lack of vision” while drafting ‘New Recruitment Policy’ and said same will lead to increase in ‘dangerous’ trend of Brain Drain.

“We are already seeing competent brains leaving Kashmir to other places and the latest Recruitment Policy is bound to increase the phenomenon of brain drain which can have dangerous consequences on development,” he said.

“Even the best minds of economy and analysts are lambasting the vision-less recruitment policy of the government drafted without any farsightedness,” he added.
