Police on Friday said that two people involved in the killing of DySp Muhammad Ayub Pandith have been arrested.
A police spokesperson said that the third has been identified and he will be arrested soon. “All involved will face law” he said.
Muhammad Ayub Pandith, was beaten to death after he was confronted by a group of people in Jamia Masjid compound while he was picturing youth shouting slogans in favour of ‘Aazadi’.
Witnesses said that Ayub was part of a group of 3 people. Two managed to escape while Ayub was caught hold of. As he failed to explain his presence a group of youth caught him. As the arguments got into blows, he pulled a pistol from the holster and fired at the people, indiscriminately. Three youth were hit by bullets.
