Opposition National Conference and Congress on Tuesday continue its boycott of Legislative Council on 2nd consecutive day after Chairman on Monday order the marshaling out of Senior National Conference member Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo following his demand to constitute a house committee to look into the issue of rehabilitation of Project affected families of Kishtwar district whose land was acquired by the government for construction of around one dozen power in Kishtwar District.
The angry NC, Congress legislators held a strong protest against the action of the Chairman Legislative Council Hajji Annayat Ali. All the legislators sit on the steers of the Legislative Assembly Complex and raise sloganeering against the government and the Chairman.
While Speaking to reporters, Ghulam Nabi Monga said that the action of the Chairman Legislative Council speaks volume about his biased attitude towards the opposition members added that the chairman acts like a spokesman of the government while the chair of the Chairman holds the constitutional posts and is the custodian of the house.
He said that Chairman had already lost his credibility by participating in PDP-BJP strategy meet and also attended the dinner party hoisted by the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. He said that Chairman gives time to ruling party MLC’s to raise the issues while at the same time strangulate the voice of opposition party members.
They said that their protest will continue till the Chairman apologize and order for framing the house committee to look into the injustice of the project affected families and the environmental concern of the people.
